The People, founded in 2016 by a group of driven students, was a collective effort to raise public awareness of environmental issues through introducing creative methods of recycling and bringing a new life to the seemingly useless. I was fortunate to be able to take part in creating the visual identity of The People since its infancy, for the immeasurable experience I've gained through the collaboration with many talented and inspiring people in the design field and others alike.
Among several activities was Papertown 2017: Revolutionnaire, a two-day event consisting of an art exhibition, workshops, film screenings and talks revolving around the topic of recycling. As Design Leader, my main tasks were contributing to the project's social presence (via Facebook page), as well as overseeing the other team members’ progress.
Social media campaign
Papertown 2017 was considered to be the "upgraded version" from our first project Papertown (2016), where we got the chance to dive further into the topic of no-waste art. The key visual followed accordingly: while keeping the subject (the mini-cityscape) and main color palette, several changes were made: gradients and isometric perspective were used, while other treatments like photo manipulation and motion graphic were experimented besides graphic design
